Newborn Pre-Session Questionnaire
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so ferociously in love with newborns. Their soft skin, fresh smell, and the magic they bring with them... It all overwhelms me. Every time.
But mama... My goodness. With a newborn comes sleep deprivation, anxiety, self-doubt... Natural sleep rhythms are whacked and days begin to blur with nights and before you know it, it's been eight days since you've showered and you're starting to consider leaving the grease in your hair because it's moisturizing, right... ?
Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones. Your baby will sleep at night, feed well during the day, and grin every time you look at him. Maybe you'll be like me... Your baby will sleep during the day, be up all night, and projectile vomit in your face. And you might worry he's broken. And you'll spend time convincing yourself it's all your fault. (It's not. Mama, it's not your fault.)
I've had babies. I've dealt with reflux and dairy allergies. I've cried through cracked and bleeding nipples instead of reaching out for help with my baby's latch. Let me tell you: Reach Out For Help.
If you don't have someone in your circle who has absolutely zero judgment, count me in. Text me. Call me. I can help you with your baby's latch, or I can listen while you cry. I'm not even joking... I'm not just your photographer. I'm your newborn photographer. And newborns are hard. I believe in villages. It takes a village. Let me be in yours.
My photography style is to have fun with you, and capture you with your family as naturally as possible. In order to do this, I feel like I want to know all about you and your family! You're probably busy-- especially right now-- so I want to thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire for me. While you're reading and answering questions, if anything else pops into your head that you want to tell me (tell me all the things!) scroll down to the bottom and tell me in the 'tell me more' box. I think I'll say "tell me" one more time just for fun. :)
I can't wait to get to know (this side of) you!
